Alisa Parker

Dalton Public Schools is proud to announce that Alisa Parker has been named Hammond Creek Middle School’s Classified Staff Member of the Year. A dedicated paraprofessional, Parker has made a lasting impact through her commitment to students, colleagues, and the Dalton Public Schools community.

"My work performance is shown by the genuine passion I have to help students advance each day and to overcome obstacles that may be holding them back not only in the classroom but in life as well," Parker shared.

Her passion for education and mentorship extends beyond the classroom. Parker is actively involved in her school community, serving as the liaison to Hammond Creek’s PTO and coaching both softball and girls’ basketball. She has been a leader in organizing the school’s annual Tiger Tournament fundraiser, which provides teachers with funding to benefit students.

“Being liaison is a wonderful ‘above and beyond’ job that I appreciate,” said Parker. “I have a passion for seeing the rewards given back to the ones that work so hard for them.”

Parker’s approach to her work is grounded in attention to detail, positive recognition, and fostering a strong sense of community. She takes pride in celebrating even the smallest achievements and strives to make a difference through small acts of kindness, whether it’s greeting students and staff in the hallways or volunteering at school events.

“My friendly energy is exhibited not only to my students but to my colleagues as well,” Parker said. “It takes all of us to create a fun learning workplace, and everyone at Hammond Creek Middle School and Dalton Public Schools makes working here a great place to be.”

A proud Dalton Public Schools alumna, Parker draws inspiration from the teachers and coaches who made a difference in her life. She now strives to do the same for her students by attending their extracurricular events, volunteering, and modeling responsibility and teamwork.

“I live to serve others and take pride in serving Dalton Public Schools,” Parker said. “I am always looking for opportunities to see if my talents and abilities can be supportive to help not only Hammond Creek Middle School but all of Dalton Public Schools.”

Parker’s dedication and leadership make her a deserving recipient of this honor, and DPS is grateful for the positive impact she brings to the school every day.
